Music has always been a key part of Rowntree Park’s history. In the early days of the park, brass bands performed in the band stand – free for the community to enjoy. In 2018, The Friends of Rowntree Park once again started to bring music back.
Through the summer months, at weekends, a host of musicians performed in the park. We currently don’;t have regular performances but do seek anyone willing to organise some!
Currently we don’t have a music coordinator volunteer but hope to hold some events in the fuitre and would love any one to volunteer to arrange and coordinate music performances in the park.

If you’d like to hold an event in the amphitheatre area using electricity there is a £167 cost to CYC for getting this up and running pus potential additional costs for use. In addition there are other terms and conditions with regard to volume and notifying neighbours. It is possible to host events at the amphitheatre – contact us for further details and can send full updates and information to help you plan.
