Fun-filled activities encouraging a love of nature and the environment
The Young Friends of Rowntree Park run a range of events for children of all ages. These events are open to members and non members of Friends of Rowntree Park.
The Very Young Friends of Rowntree Park is aimed at children aged 1-5 years olds. The Young Friends of Rowntree Park is aimed at children aged 5-12 years old approximately. We often do joined events that span a range of ages.
Regular Events – Young Friends of Rowntree Park
The Very Young Friends monthly meet ups
A nature based craft group for 1-5 year olds. The group meets the first Wednesday of each month 10-11am at the Story Circle in the woods. Only £2 a child. All welcome.
Weekly Forest School 2-5 year olds
Forest School is much more than outdoor sessions, it’s a holistic approach to learning that builds skills including resilience, problem solving and confidence. These sessions run in 6 week blocks and must be booked in advance.
Monthly Saturday Forest School 6-12 year olds
Full on Forest School fun for the older children. An opportunity to learn a range of skills including use of tools, survival skills, cooking and much more. These sessions must be booked in advance.
